San Francisco Giants' Tim Lincecum's Wife, Cristin Coleman, Dies at 38 from Cancer

The San Francisco Giants announced the decease of Cristin Coleman, the wife of former Cy Young winner Tim Lincecum, on Thursday. She passed away before this summer at 38 after contesting cancer.
The organization shared a message on social media calling Coleman a "dearest" member of the Giants, where her husband spent the majority of his 10-year career, culminating in three World Series championships.

"The Giants were extremely saddened to learn of the passing of Tim Lincecum'south wife, Cristin Coleman. Our deepest condolences exit to Tim, Cristin'due south family, and all those whose lives she touched as a friend and instructor," the statement read.

According to the San Mateo Daily Journal, Coleman passed away at her home, surrounded by family June 27 subsequently a boxing with cancer. She was a longtime educator and principal at the Washington Elementary School in Burlingame, California.

Shana Daum, senior vice president of communications and community relations for the Giants, told the San Francisco Chronicle that the team learned of Coleman's passing – and recent marriage to Lincecum – on Thursday.
"Tim is extremely private, and we honour and respect his privacy," Daum told the outlet. "Our hearts are heavy in learning this news."

A four-time All-Star, three-fourth dimension World Serial champ, and 2-fourth dimension Cy Immature winner, Lincecum was drafted 10th overall by the Giants in 2006. He signed with the Los Angeles Angels in 2016 on a one-year contract.
